Claire Miziolek is the Senior Manager of Technology and Market Solutions at NEEP. Among other responsibilities, Claire manages NEEP’s work in state and federal appliance standards, home energy management systems, emerging commercial sector business models, and supports NEEP’s EM&V Forum and Air-Source Heat Pump projects. Throughout her work, Claire develops strategies and recommendations to bring efficient technologies to broader scale and ultimately decrease and optimize the energy used by homes and businesses.
Prior to joining NEEP, Claire was the Education + Outreach Programs Manager at GTECH Strategies, a non-profit social enterprise in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, Claire helped lead community and regional energy efficiency and environmental initiatives including the county-wide ReEnergizePgh campaign. She is originally from Baltimore, MD. Claire holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from Cornell University.
Q: If you could invite any three people to dinner, who would they be?
A: Weird Al Yankovic (would have great stories), Malcolm X (also would have great stories), Ivy Miziolek (my daughter…would have AMAZING stories!)
Q: What is your favorite thing about NEEP?
A: Making progress towards climate change mitigation.
Q: What’s something about you that would surprise us?
A: I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit and have been to almost every continent (I’ve been to N. America, S. America, Europe, Asia, and Australia). It would be great to visit them all, especially Africa.
